WSHS Class of '73 50th Reunion
REUNION Update April 14, 2023:
Reunions are not easy things to plan so I wanted to acknowledge to the class, a few classmates who are helping us to bring a reunion together. Including myself, we have 15 classmates on the team. Volunteers always welcome.
Thanks to Rick Henry and Nancy Taubenslag who are handling "technology" items, issues and communication for the group. Presently they are updating E mail lists, verifying E mails and so forth. We will be looking to get an Email blast out.
Thanks to Sue Rudnick Webber and Joel Dupree who will be handling the financial part. We have financial controls in place and Joel will be setting up "on line" payment systems for added convenience. Remember, payment will be due at that of registration.
BJ Townsend and Nancy are looking to get some trivia games and crossword puzzles together. All 14 committee members are contributing to our effort to bring a 50TH reunion together and we still have many things to do.
The objective of the committee is that the 50th reunion will be affordable, convenient, memorable and attended by as many classmates as possible. Please continue to spread the word about the reunion, please share these posts and please also direct folks to our web page woodlawn73.info for up to date information. Looking to see many classmates!

WSHS Class of '73 50th Reunion
REUNION Update April 12, 2023:
Classmates, the Ocean City option for our 50th reunion has been cancelled by the Advisory Committee due to lack of interest, time restraints and cost.
In order to maximize attendance the reunion will have to be held in the Baltimore area. Several hotels have been contacted regarding availability, cost and options available.
We will keep everyone up to date as information becomes available. In the interim, please start emailing classmates in your circle to let them know about the reunion and to direct them to our Facebook page and web page.

REUNION Update April 11, 2023:
BIG SHOUT OUT to the following classmates who have joined the advisory committee- Jay Bronstein, Lynn Brown, Joel Dupree, Debbie Egge, Doug Goldsmith, Rick Griffith, Rick Henry, Karla Hess, Bobby Kelland, BJ Townsend, Nancy Taubenslag, Susie Twigg, Sue Weber and Tim Zinnert.
The committee objective is to plan a reunion event that maximizes attendance. Factors include date, location, cost and time. ZOOM meetings will be occurring this week with committee members.
Start spreading the word now by Emailing your circle and

Classmates committing to attend will have to be made very quickly. Classmates attendance will only be confirmed with payment in full which will due immediately. Payment options will be available.

REUNION Update-
Much thanks to Craig for all of his time and effort in getting the reunion ball rolling.
Craig has made a decision to step down as Chairman and an advisory committee has been formed to regroup on the reunion.

Update: March 31, 2023:
Craig's plan for the 50th reunion did not materialize due to insufficient response and deposits to secure the venue planned in Ocean City.
BUT: Tony DeSanctis is keeping the hope alive to have a reunion - somewhere, sometime, so please check our Facebook page
for the latest updates. I have just put up a poll to obtain classmates' inputs regarding a possible reunion.

I can't stress this enough, we have only a few days to get the $1500 deposit to Marge at the Cambria.
So far we have $350. If we don't have the entire amount in by the 31st the reunion is in jeopardy.
So please, if you're planning on attending get your refundable $50 deposit in. Remember I will have a very close estimate on Friday nights cost by the end of the week.

WSHS Class of '73 50th Reunion

Dear Classmates,
First let me say I hope you and your family have stayed safe through this pandemic.
I'm reaching out to you to inform you of a 50th class reunion I am planning.
If you have a Facebook account you can access any information about our alumni at Woodlawn Sr. High School class of 73 Alumni, Baltimore, Md.

Before I forget please inform any friends you know about the reunion especially the ones we've lost touch with over the years.
So I am planning to have our reunion for an entire weekend, yes I said weekend on Sept 22-24, 2023 in Ocean City, MD.
Friday night-Sunday morning. Lodging and costs are yet to be determined because we're still a ways to the date. But I assure you it will be affordable so we can have as many people who would love to attend come.
Examples of activities include: Friday night buffet and dancing with 3 major door prizes, a $500, $300 and $100 gift basket to be given to 3 lucky folks.
Also some surprises. When signing in on Friday you will receive 2 souvenirs.
Saturday will include your choice of: Golf, Fishing on one of OC's boat's excursions, Outlet shopping, Assateague tour, afternoon on the boardwalk, attending the "Sunfest" (yes the Sunfest is that weekend and it's free), or just lay on the beach if you choose.
There will be a cookout lunch provided at the hotel. And the grand finale: a good ole Maryland Crab feast Sat night, location to be determined. Later that night a social gathering at the hotel with a fire pit on the outdoor deck.
Sunday: Tour of Seacret's and brewery/distillery then goodbyes to our friends and classmates.
I'm looking into a hotel that also serves a continental breakfast so you won't need to spend money above and beyond the reunion. But if you wish to do anything besides the planned events you are free to do so.
I'm trying to make this as memorable and fun as possible and I promise to negotiate all costs to be favorable to all. Also lodging at the hotel is not mandatory, just a convenience.
On closing don't hesitate to contact me or the Woodlawn page on Facebook. I'm sending this out early so you can be prepared for a weekend of Woodlawn fun.

WSHS Class of '73 Reunion
Here are the details (from JoAnn Ryan Gaynor):
I am excited to share the following information:
Date will be September 28, 2019 (Saturday) from 5-9pm
Place will be The Crab Deck - here is the link for the website, The Crab Deck
Buffet menu will include: cheese and cracker display, fresh seasonal fruit display, Chicken Marsala, Seafood Newburg, vegetable crab soup, house salad, fresh steamed vegetables, rosemary red potatoes, rolls and butter, soda, tea, coffee,
Cash bar - the Tiki Bar will be serving wine, beer, cocktails/shots.
A specialty cake will be created by Peace of Cake. Music will be provided by our classmate, Lenny Booker; DJ extraordinaire who will be playing the tunes that will turn back time for us.
Handmade centerpieces created by another classmate will be raffled off and everyone will leave with a party favor, that, trust me, you will use!
All of this awesomeness for only $55!!!

Class Reunion Picnic on August 13, 2016
Join your classmates at Patapsco State Park, Pickall Area, off Johnnycake Road from 12 noon to dusk for Chillin' and Grillin'.
Your ticket price $15 per person includes: hot dogs, hamburgers, condiments, paper goods, soda, water, ice tea and of course the pavilion rental for shelter 706A/B..
We have an alcohol permit so you may bring your own alcohol.
Bring a side dish or dessert to share. Park admission at the gate is $2.00 per person.
