Crossword Puzzle

Fellow alumni Nancy Taubenslag has commissioned Washington Post Magazine crossword editor, Fred Piscop, to create a puzzle especially for the Class of '73. People this is so cool...we cannot thank Nancy enough for her generous contribution to the reunion project and the class.

Below you will find two ways to play the puzzle:

The first method of playing is to do so on your computer and is by far the most enjoyable. Using this method one has access to hints, tips, letter checking and even full or partial solutions right in the puzzle. It requires the download and installation of a free program called Across Lite from Litsoft.

Across Lite is a program for solving crossword puzzles online and is available for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, IBM OS/2 and several Unix platforms (see list of supported platforms). A complimentary copy of the latest version is available for personal use and may be downloaded from the link below (see included license for details).

Once you've downloaded and installed Across Lite, you can get the actual puzzle here -

While you can play the puzzle online, we recommend you save the puzzle to your PC's hard drive.

The second method of playing the puzzle is the old fashion way using pencil and paper. For those of you preferring this style of play you can download the puzzle for printing below. Please note that by clicking on the link will take to the page containing the puzzle. From there you can print it out. If your browser supports it; you may RIGHT click on the link instead and choosing "save target as" or "print target". Your printer must be set to .25 inch margins in order to print the entire puzzle on a single page.

We hope you enjoy this wonderful gift from Nancy and that you'll drop her a note of thanks. If you have any questions or problems downloading, installing, or printing the puzzle...contact the webmaster@woodlawn73.info. If you get hooked on crosswords because of this - more puzzles are available from Litsoft at their Gallery.
