I was born and raised in Biloxi, Mississippi, moved to Baltimore to finish the 8th-12th grades. I attended St. Josephs, Johnny Cake Jr. High and, of course, Woodlawn Sr. High. I moved back to Mississippi in 1974 and my elementary school friend, Mary Jane, and myself started traveling. We ended up in California and around 1977 I hooked up with my high school friends Cheryl and Pat in San Diego and did some camping with them up the west coast, through Victoria Island, Canada and back to Baltimore. I picked up the nickname "Gemini Gypsy".
I moved back to Mississippi in 1978 and settled in Gulfport, Mississippi where I now reside in the home I built in 1997. On August 29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina took my car, office and 3' of my home. That was a trying time but we all got through it. I was able to build back and move in 5 months later.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast is still recovering from Katrina and Gustav but life is back to some normalcy. We still need more affordable housing and the real estate market has been slow for the past 2 years. I am positive that in 2009 and forward our market and economy will start to turn around.
I've been selling homes and providing home services since 1987. Prior to my Real Estate career, I was in the restaurant/lounge business from 1978 until 1989. I was managing a local beach front lounge when I decided to get into real estate. It took approximately two years to make the transition into real estate full time.
I have been fortunate to do some traveling out of the country also. My travels took me to England, Germany, France, Mexico, Abaco Islands, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cabo San Lucas and Italy. I enjoy boating, jet skiing and in general hanging out on the beach.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast offers unlimited waterplay, fishing, casinos, golfing and the most hospitable folks you'll ever meet. Ya'll come visit sometime.
