Dear Classmates-

53 years after first stepping onto the WHS grounds we are now looking to celebrate our 50th high school reunion. It’s hard to believe and it’s quite an accomplishment. We have all gone on to to live different lives, in different places, with different experiences and outcomes. But on November 4, 2023 all classmates will have another opportunity to reminiscence about a simpler time and place, where so many fun times and experiences happened and memories were made. Our reunion is an opportunity to refresh, rekindle and renew those friendships from those far away days and early years. Many of us have known each other since elementary school.

After much deliberation it was decided that the best way to provide a convenient and affordable reunion, and one that would maximize the reunion attendance was to hold it at a BWI area hotel, which will be the Sheraton. The Sheraton BWI has an onsite bar and lounge, indoor pool, fitness center and shuttle service to and from the airport. Room rates are nicely discounted beginning at $129 plus tax.

We have a great evening planned for the class. The cost is really affordable at just $95.00 per ticket. Our food line up will include veggies, cheese and fruit upon arrival, followed by a buffet dinner, with 2 entrees, 2 salads, starches, veggies and a separate carving station. We will also have dessert, coffee, tea, and soda. There will be a cash bar.

To encourage and allow conversation among classmates, rather than hire a DJ, we will instead use our own 1970’s playlist and audio equipment. Hospitality rooms will be available Friday evening, Saturday evening before the reunion begins and then after the reunion. Snacks and non alcoholic beverages will be available in the hospitality room.

IF, we are going to have a reunion this year, this is what everyone needs to do.

First, immediately make the decision to attend the reunion. Second, write a check made payable (an online pay option will also be available) Checks are the preferred method of payment, BUT do not hesitate to pay using the 2 online options available. The important thing is to register and make payment right away. Time is of the essence.

I’m challenging the class to set a record attendance for this historic 50th reunion. You’re not going to want to miss this opportunity for good food, friendship, great music, old stories, lots of laughs, hugs and love! So, get that check in the mail today or pay online, mark your calendar and then contact a classmate. We are the reunion, We make it happen! Let’s get it done. I look forward to seeing many classmates on November 04. Best to all!
